At the blink of an eye,
holidays are reaching to an end (a few more hours)
and ULP`06 had kinda officially ended too.
but have our relations ended too? (NO)
when will we have another gathering? (not at ubin pls. haha)
must we really do a proposal for it?(haha)
BBQ gathering 23rd June 2006 Friday
arrived at almost 4 there by cab
warmly welcomed by serena and joyce
hopscothed
wave jumped
and splashed water
got pushed into the sea by ser.
but not fully wet :D
ser's shirt turn translucent and revealing her orange bra.
BIKED to macs to wash up.
BIKE.
yes, u dint see wrongly.
I CYCLED.
thx to joyce and ser for their guidance and those who cheered for me :D
i officially biked from area C pit 7 to macs.
biked back and started fire.
it was rather crazy and haha.
although i dint really admit tt the mickey mouse fan was mine, haha.
it brought into great use.
handled some (a lot actually) charcoal throughout the whole BBQ with hands and tongs/kiap kiap thing.
was rather fun actually although most of us had to face the smoke all the time.
thx to hen who fanned the smoke away most of the time :D
my shirt turned black and apparently i washed the black stuffs away already.
unlike eusoff sir who said tt it cant be washed off.
and i washed my hands at the sea with sand and stuffs.
haha.
so bbq-ed finish and sat around to eat.
had some kind of fun and took some pictures :D
area cleaned and walked home. it was 9+ then.
haha.
reached home at 11+
was rather worried tt i would be caught by police.
haha.
polished boots and slept at 3+
Cadets' Recognition Day
packed up,
spray hair and left home at 8++
i think its stupid.
cos i was suppose to meet joyce at redhill at 11 and apparently i forgot and thought it was 10.
i reached the bus stop and relised. so i bought a magazine and called joyce to meet her up earlier.
went to plaza sing for lunch and then to hq to fetch ser.
and i wet my shorts :(
then went to seng kang mrt to change.
apparently we walk to where we change to where.
haha. it was super unglam and to just sit outside the toilet to change boots.
then went to take LRT!
my first time ok. was pretty exciting.
so walked there and take pictures with ppl.
then went to the hall and etc etc
oh. and me ser and joyce leaded in the ULP thing.
haha.
took the certificate and settled down.
was rather stiff on stage i guess.
BAHH..
then after everything finished..
took course photo and there were cameras all over the place and dint know where to look. was hilarious.
packed the chairs and had gathering
and exchange certificates.
haha. apparently it was so coincidential (maybe not) that i took hen's cert.
okok.
then packed and went out of the hall and did hakka/haka cheer :D
video taking and sang cold wind blow.
went to change and out to pizza hut for dinner :D
the food was not filling ok.
haha. but enough to keep my hunger away.
went around finding ppl and decided to go bowling.
bowling was fun :D
we shared shoes to save money and the sad thing was maximum 6 players per lane.
we played really randomly.
the guys were not bad at bowling
haha.
and i see so many strikes until see till sian.
JUST KIDDING.
rushed home without saying bye to everyone :(
was rather sad. thinking that it was somehow the last time i will meet them before we really gather soon.

June. i had 2 camps. total of 9 days.
and today's date is 17 June.
i have 360 free messages each month.
i have sent 505 messages.

i think i'm gonna die soon.

it had been ages since i talked to her.
speaking of my studies.
i think ms ho is gonna think tt im an attitude student.
cos im not going finish all my hw la.
i think ulp is more impt the hw.
somehow.

i cant wait for 23rd and 24th june :D

HA! its Alicia's Brithday today. So happy birthday alicia.

so what had this post gotta do with Alicia? other then saying happy birthday, NTH at all.
ITS THE POWER OF ULP TT MADE ME BLOG.

ok.
anw.
the morning of the camp.
my mom scolded me.
saying tt i was stupid tt i had to bring a tent for the platoon/group and let ppl take advantage.
and she also say u go camp u bring pole for what. and i just told her it was flag pole for another grp and she said i let ppl take advantage again
then she asked me if i was taking a taxi.
i said no. too far. im taking bus>mrt>bus.
she say far? i tot u going school.
i sweared(im a free thinker) tt i told her it was at rc campsite. so she said what bloody school is tt make u go camp all the way to so far. i think until now she still dint know there were guys who existed in the camp. lol.
i told her it was some leadership stuff. and she say it was a waste of time and studies was more impt. actually she dint know tt i have the talent of leading ( i believe in egoism). so i had to left out of house crying.
Day 1 of ULP camp.
i was the day i/c
not suay or whatever
but since i knew it long ago. was mentally prepared.
and who said tt i was nervous until i was shivering!?
i dint shiver ok!
anw. i got shiver meh?
so report report.
and i think i was really scared of the 1 short blow whistle sound (call for day i/c)
especially during area cleaning.
cos it meant tt i had to run frm 3rd floorth to the 1st floorth and up again.
if im not wrong.
it happened 4 or 5 times.
haha.
and i swear i was panting like crazy and joan ma'am saw me and ask if i was ok.
anw. during the camp a lot of sirs and ma'ams asked if i was ok. cos i looked pale and my lips were white.
haha. i had no idea why its like tt also. but i felt perfectly alright.
So we had orientation run and etc etc.
Overall, day 1 was quite smooth going although the discipline level was rather low.
Oh, and throughout the whole day, i was counting down how many hours and minutes were there left to 0030 cos, it would be the change of day i/c.
haha.
i suppose i did a good job.
Day 2 of ULP camp.
Was all prepared to go for the hike in bukit timah hill.
during briefing on night 1, i know i had a lot of questions to ask.
but well, tts me.
i was really excited.
in the bus all those cheering and singing.
at first the route was super steep.
i thought the whole route would be like tt.
and if it was, i thought i was going to die.
haha. JUST KIDDING.
i just couldnt wait to reach the summit hut.
after all, during obs, the 2++++ km hike was nth much.
this shldnt be something challenging too.
but who knows. there were steps also.
haha.
and this time round, our bag packs were really light.
so without any cheer but quite a lot of motivation, we reached the summit.
guess what.
WE WERE THE FIRST.
and with no casualty and all checkpoints cleared.
haha.
PROUD to have me as ur friend?
LOL.
played a few little games and had some snacks.
and practised a little skit too.
OH.
and took photos too :D
however, joan ma'am wasnt there.

one of the games tt we played.
so after a while we were supposed to hike to macrithchie.
haha.
a surprise planning i would say.
BUT in the end?
RAIN. no. DOWNPOUR.
so everyone wore ponchos and with our shoes and trackpants wet.
haha.
the sun was still happily shining a while ago in the photo.
so we waited long for the bus to fetch us back.
it was cold.
and many ppl fell asleep.
i was still high.
haha.
very high i must say.
so we all went back to campsite to do out stuffs and prepare skit.
i must say my lines are really diff to memorise.

so the skit was ok. and i think C3's skit is really the most hilarious one la.
We had tent pitching too.
It was rather sad to relise that i was the only person who brought tents to camp from Charlie.
TWO tents somemore.
ok. REALLY SAD.
and the 2 four-men tent actually turned out to seem to be like 6 mean tents.
anw, we were the FIRST platoon to pitch finish the tents.
i feel so. POWER. haha
Day 3 of ULP camp.
had parade stuffs. was rather interesting. and i really think tt hanif's commanding is POWER.
haha.
she has a good taste after all.
so we had camp fire preperations too.
C1 was in charge of the BBQ pit. i tell u it was really easy to build la.
as in. we finished very early and practically had nth to do.
so we went to ask ard if anyone needed help.
haha.
a standard answer was thanks, we/i can handle this.
so we went to fill up water bottles for C1.
and we went to ask ard if anyone needed help again.
NO.
so we went to fill up bottles for Charlie.
YEAP.
and BOOM! nth to do again.
so a few of us went back to bunks to do reflections and to practise some skit abit.
had dinner and went to change to our costumes.
haha.
it was not the first time, but all the girls changed in the room again.
and mumtaz's bra caught my attention.
HAHA.
anw. i borrowed kebaya frm safa.
but the dress was rather fitting me wierdly.
haha.
but anw. THANK YOU SAFA.
oh and the buckle kept opening it self and i thought that the dress would drop anytime.
campfire was really fun i must say.
but i think tt not everyone was really tt enthu, it could be better.
i think the brunei and indo and philipine delegate's performance was really interesting. at least they were more linked to racial harmony.
i think joyce's group's dance was quite nice. my first time seeing joyce dance untill so. haha. anw, it was nice cos they were dancing to huo yuan jia.
i will skip the maluating part.
-SKIPPED-
so we had bbq.
it was rather disastrous, i nv knew how to control the flame and charcoal etc.
and the flame was really small. so the chicken wasnt getting cooked at all.
i really taught tt we wld get food poisoning.
haha.
Day 4 of ULP camp.
we jogged a round ard the estate and jogged to ECP.
it seemed to be a rather long distance.
but i know tt i was getting more and more hyper. joyce fell down on the way there :(
TAKE CARE.
and we cheered and cheered.
i TRIED leading some stuffs but they just cant seemed to hear me.
and i had totally no reponse.
i like head counts :D
i think i have good stamina.
haha.
i like frisbee too :D

and the forfeit for hanif's grp was really.
HAHA.

haha. it was really cool and interesting yea? lol
haha. but i don really like the hands interlocks game.
cos there wasnt any cotton twine provided.
i refuse to hold guy's hand ok!
i know it happened before, but i was choiceless.

so anw.
i still caught hold of girls' hand.
i told u i was conservative.
then we took some photos and i just relised i don have it.
ok.
must ask around.
so we walked back to campsite.
short distance la.
had lunch and.
we actually took the wrong food and ate the trainers' food
it was catered and nice la.
but it was rather sad tt we dint have the honour of eating the food cooked by the trainers yea?
haha
had area cleaning and we went to clear our bunks and yeap.
then we had some coke and jasmine green tea.
then we proceeded to clean the canteen and with my solo work, i cleaned the "cage".
haha. its not because tt i wanna show of. but 1 person is really enough.
the cage wasnt really big anw.
i feel a sense of achievement.
haha.
so we all fall in and wait for the inspection.
and they asked for 5 volunteers and i happily and enthusiastically took a step out with my right foot and BANG DOWN onto the end of the step and twisted my ankle and slipped and fell onto my butt.
haha.
it was not pain la
so i rotated a few times and my was walkable.
[but who knows, now the ankle is blue black]
lol
so after cleaning i took down my HEAVY AND HUGE BAG and 2 tents
i bet i had the most to bring home frm camp la.
so we took a spoon and went to the canteen for debrief and eat icecream.
haha.

i know i made a lame and foolish comment tt i was glad there was no food poisoning.
but it came frm the bottom of my heart.
HAHA.
so debrief ended and we took some pictures and yadayada.
and many of them cried la.
and joan ma'am say i act strong cos i dint cry.
ok.

it was expected tt ppl wld cry.
i know its sad to leave.
even until now it feels wierd w/o them.
but we all shld have knew tt there's always and end to everything.
we cant possibly cry everytime.
so i unhappily carried all the stuffs home and everyone on the train and in the bus stop the attention was on me.
i hate going home frm camp.
cos everytime i carried something on my shoulder it would just numb my whole hand.
ok. so the tents numbed my left hand.
and when i reached home.
my mom scolded me again.
its about the same things but slightly diff.
she exclaimed: 2 tents!? u think u hero ah. ppl persuade u a bit only then u stupidly help ur friend bring home. she dint relise i borrowed the tents frm someone not frm ulp camp. i had nth to say. and she was complaining how stinky i was. it made me felt as if, i were a stranger to her. so i left home crying and reached home crying.

i must say. its all worth it.
cos the things we learnt in ULP, the friends we made in ULP, the bonds we had in ULP, and the experience tt only we can have in ULP.
no words is able to fully describe it.
i will leave to all of u to imagine.
and to my RC juniors: it was a really good experience. PRE, DURING, and POST camp.
all wonderful.
its diff frm what u feel in ur squad.
so. i really hope tt if u ppl go for ULP nxt time round. u ppl will have to make use of this chance. and live in it like there isnt any tmrw.
